The DivGro Weekly—08.04.22

97 Consecutive dividend increases

This week we received further real-time, tangible evidence of outstanding business progress when we collected our quarterly dividend from Nike and our special dividend from Wingstop.

We also became entitled to our quarterly dividends from Mastercard and Roper Technologies.

Since DivGro's inception we have now predicted and benefited from 97 consecutive dividend increases at an average annual increase rate of 15.4%.

Roper is a world leader in optimizing the profit pool available from dominating a myriad of niche software segments, such as its stronghold on toll road billing systems and school canteen software solutions. These services are mission critical to the end user, while representing a relatively insignificant part of their operating cost. Roper deliberately targets everyday niches that are large enough to be highly lucrative for the leader, but not so large to accommodate serious competition. This dynamic allows Roper freedom to gradually capture the profit pool available by taking incremental share and lifting prices as it sees fit. Replicating this playbook repeatedly has powered 29 consecutive years of dividend increases, at an average rate of 18% per year.
